Wehdat Club

The Wehdat Club was formed in 1956 in Al Wehdat refugee camp, eastern Amman.
Until 1986, the club was under the umbrella of the UNRWA. From that date on, the club functioned under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth.
In 1996, the club started issuing a weekly newspaper specialized in sports news under the brandname, Al Wehdat Al Riyadi.
The club formed its first basketball team in 1995.
In the field of basketball, the club has accomplished the following:
First place in under-20 championship in 2002.
Third place in first-division League in 2001.
Fourth place in first-division League in 2002.
Thirda place in under-16 tournament in 2002.
Players who have taken to the National Team are:
        Men's Team: Khaldoon Abu Rukayeah and Nidal Shereif
        Under-20 Team: , Muhannad Talal and Taher Al Awawdeh.
        Under-18 Team: Ahmad Shaker and Mohammad Nowara
